Alejandro is responsible for the manager selection and ongoing investment due diligence of fixed income and multi-asset mutual funds, active ETFs and hedge funds for the Firm's Global Wealth Management business with a specific focus on J.P. Morgan’s International Private Bank which encompasses the J.P. Morgan EMEA, Latin America and Asia Pacific Private Banks. His objective is to service the wide range of clients the Firm has across the wealth spectrum and geographies by sourcing, researching and maintaining the multi-centibillion dollar investment platform. He joined J.P. Morgan in 2015 in the New York City office conducting investment research, manager selection and ongoing due diligence for the fixed income business with a focus on J.P. Morgan’s U.S. Wealth Management channels. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, Alejandro helped manage global brand and celebrity strategy at Creative Artists Agency (CAA), modernize and streamline the grant strategy at The Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, advocate with the National Hispanic Media Coalition on issues of fairness and representation of Hispanics in the USA and worked on the Emmy winning Greater than AIDS campaign with The Kaiser Family Foundation. Alejandro holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Stanford University.
Alena Kosava, CFA, CAIA is Head of Collectives Multi-Asset Multi-Manager Funds at the Avellemy, a UK discretionary fund manager with over £2.5bn in AUM. A global multi-asset fund manager on the Avellemy multi-manager OEIC and MPS range of funds, Alena is responsible for establishing, developing and strengthening Avellemy’s in-house fund due diligence capabilities, whilst taking direct oversight of the quantitative and qualitative due diligence framework. Alena is a member of the Avellemy Asset Allocation Committee, focusing on strategic linking of top-down and bottom-up. Part of Senior Management team, Alena contributes toward Avellemy’s broader strategic efforts and bolstering the Avellemy client proposition. Most recently she spent eight years in the Multi-Asset Multi-Manager Chief Central Investment Office at Tilney IM (TSW) in the role of Director, where she was responsible for the selection of equity and alternative strategies/sleeves across the range of multi-asset multi-manager Model Portfolios and the Fund-of-Funds book of business with c.£10bn in assets. Alena holds a BA (Hons) in Management & Finance (1st) and an MSc in Investment & Quantitative Finance (distinction). She is a CFA and CAIA charter holder and is a Chartered FSCI.

Ari Towli has over 24 years’ experience in the area of multi-asset, multi-manager investing. He has worked at Singer & Friedlander, Quilter & Co., Rothschilds, Gartmore and more recently North Investment Partners Ltd. where he was responsible for fund selection and the management of North’s multi-asset portfolios and funds. Ari also has extensive experience in the product design in “long only” and absolute return multi asset vehicles. In addition, Ari has developed the risk tools that were critical to the construction and development of the Smart Investment Management Risk-Graded Portfolio range.
Ben Gutteridge joined Invesco in January 2020 as Director of Invesco’s Model Portfolio Service. Prior to Invesco Ben was a Research Director at Brewin Dolphin, sitting on the Asset Allocation Committee, as well as Heading up the 3rd Party Fund Research team. Ben has nearly 15 years of experience in helping to manage Model Portfolio Services and delivering stimulating client updates. Ben is a frequent commentator in written and televised media, and is now host of the Invesco Podcast. Ben also has a degree in Mathematics from Loughborough University, holds the Securities Institute Diploma and is a CFA Charterholder.
Ben joined Saunderson House in June 2008, having previously spent 7 years as a quantitative equity manager at TRW Investment Management, managing UK, European and Quantitative equity portfolios. A graduate with a first-class degree in Statistics from the University of Wales, Ben holds the Investment Management Certificate and the Securities Institute Diploma and is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. His particular areas of interest are quantitative asset allocation, investment strategy and fund research, with a responsibility for analysing UK equities, Private Equity, multi asset and tax efficient products.Ben is a keen cyclist, having completed a number of tours in Spain, Italy and France. He also enjoys surfing, rugby and walking his French bulldog Claude.
Bruno Dhoosche is Head of Investment Research since April 2018 and Head of Fixed Income Strategies since April 2016 in the Investment Solutions Division at Allfunds. Prior to joining Allfunds in 2015, Bruno worked for SEI Investments for more than eleven years: he started in 2003 as a Client Portfolio Manager in Paris where he was responsible for creating, monitoring and reviewing Managed Account Programmes and Fund of Funds ranges for international clients in the U.S., Europe, Asia and Middle East. In 2007, he relocated to London and moved to an investment analyst role in 2008 within the Global Fixed Income team covering all sectors of the Global Aggregate benchmark. Bruno started his career at Société Générale Corporate and Investment Banking as a Key Client Account Manager for the Fixed Income trading desks in 2002. Bruno has a degree in Mathematics and Economics and a Master in Mathematics, Economics and Financial Modelling, both from La Sorbonne University in Paris. He is a CFA charterholder and a member of the CFA UK Society. Bruno is fluent in English and French.
Carly graduated from Warwick Business School and started her career in financial services consultancy. Shortly after she moved into fund research where she began covering Asian and Emerging Market equity funds. Today she also covers Chinese equity and healthcare funds and investment trusts. As well as selecting funds for Quilter Cheviot, she works closely with the Multi-Asset Portfolio Managers at Quilter Investors. She is a CFA charter holder and holds the Level 4 Full Certificate in ESG Investing qualification.
David Jardine, Head of Portfolio Management, STANLIB Multi Manager Jersey
David has over 20 years investment experience, joining Standard Bank in 1997. He has held a variety of roles including; fixed income portfolio manager, equity analyst, alternatives specialist, fund of funds portfolio manager and most recently as Head of the International Fund Solutions team where he specialised in portfolio construction and 3rd party fund selection. David transferred to STANLIB Fund Managers Jersey in April 2019 to form part of the STANLIB’s Global Multi Manager team, where he is the manager of a variety of multi-manager funds and provides fund selection services to the Standard Bank Group.
David joined Saunderson House in October 2019 and is responsible for investment research and portfolio construction across a number of asset classes within the company’s centralised investment team. Most notably this includes leading research and managing portfolio positioning in relation to both fixed income and commercial property allocations within client models. He also retains some regional equity market research responsibilities, having covered a number of equity sectors over his career to date. He is a member of the Saunderson House Investment Committee, and regularly presents research conclusions and investment recommendations at this forum. David graduated from Nottingham University with a degree in Mathematics with Engineering, following which he trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte. He has worked in the asset and wealth management industries since 2010, most significantly spending over seven years with Abdn prior to his current role. In this time he gained experience across investment risk, portfolio management and research roles, and was latterly responsible for fund analysis across sectors spanning equities, fixed income and alternative asset classes within the Abdn Multi-Manager team.
David is a Fellow of the ICAEW (FCA) and a qualified Financial Risk Manager (FRM).
Eduardo has research responsibilities across the fixed income spectrum, focusing on sterling corporate, strategic bond, emerging market debt and high yield funds. He regularly comments in the financial press and produces articles on topics within his specialist research areas.
Emma is responsible for developing and implementing the investment processes for Hargreaves Lansdown Asset Management solutions. Her team provides strategic asset allocation, and analysis on equities, funds, ETFs and investment trusts, for HL platform, workplace and advised clients.
Emma also leads the Senior Research Team, which reviews investment selections against parameters designed to flag potential risks to clients. She reports to the Distribution Investment Oversight Committee.
Emma joined HL in April 2019 from Morningstar where she provided investment news, views and analysis to investors across the UK, Australia, Canada and India. Prior to joining Morningstar in July 2013 Emma spent six years as a financial journalist at the Daily and Sunday Telegraph.
Emmanuel is a Portfolio Manager working on the day to day management of multi-asset portfolios and joined Abrdn in 2012. His sector responsibilities are focused on Alternatives, Absolute Return and European Equities. Emmanuel graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Economics, is a CFA Charterholder and a Chartered Alternatives Investment Analyst (CAIA). He also holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMC).
Evangelia Gkeka is a Senior Manager Research Analyst within the Morningstar UK Manager Research team. She is responsible for UK-based fund research on fixed-income strategies.
Prior to joining Morningstar in 2019, Evangelia was an Associate Director with Fitch Ratings from 2016 until 2018. Before that she was with Moody’s Investors Service for eleven years, having joined in 2004 as a Statistical Analyst in New York and moved in 2005 to London holding various roles including Senior Associate, Associate Analyst and Analyst within the Global Managed Investments team rating Asset Managers and Fixed Income Funds. Evangelia holds a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree in Finance and Investments from Baruch College, City University of New York and a Masters in Investment Management from Bayes Business School (formerly known as Cass Business School), City University London.
Francis is a fund manager within LGIM’s Asset Allocation team, with responsibilities for managing a range of retail multi-asset funds, including management of the Model Portfolio Service.
Francis joined LGIM in October 2016 from Aviva. At Aviva, Francis worked with the Aviva pension schemes, assisting in implementation of the investment strategies, which had emphasis on financial risk management, investment manager selection as well as asset class research.
Prior to that, he was an Investment Consultant at JLT. Francis started his career with Mercer Investment Consulting. Francis graduated from the University of Warwick and is a qualified actuary and a CFA charterholder.
Helena is a private client investment manager and is responsible for managing discretionary, multi-asset for families, individuals and a number of small charities. She sits on the firm’s Asset Allocation Committee and has a particular speciality in Fixed Interest. She leads the research of Strategic, High Yield and Convertible bond funds for the firm, as well as analysing Consumer Staples equities. Helena holds the CISI Chartered Wealth Manager qualification and has been included in both the Wealth Manager ‘Top 30 under 30’ and PAM ‘Top 40 under 40’ lists.
Jack joined Harpsden Wealth Management (now WH Ireland) in September 2017 after graduating from Durham University with a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree in Economics. Jack’s work has combined portfolio management and fund selection with broad macroeconomic and multi-asset research and analysis. One particular area of specialisation has been responsible investment, where he has contributed to the progression of the Sustainable model portfolio service and a stand-alone Sustainable investment offering on the WH Ireland collectives list.
Jack sits on the Asset Allocation, Collectives and Stocks Committees and is a CFA Charterholder.
Jade Coysh is a fund analyst at Quilter focusing on the discovery, selection and monitoring of US and European equity funds. She is in charge of fund selection within these areas on behalf of both Quilter Cheviot and Quilter Investors. Jade joined Quilter in 2017 and has over ten years’ of industry experience. Prior to joining Quilter she worked as a fund analyst at ABN AMRO Investment Solutions in Paris, and as an investment analyst and fund researcher at Towers Watson.
Jamie is a Partner and Investment Manager. He has significant experience in portfolio management and also fund selection having previously managed the investment research team. Currently, he looks after a small number of families whilst also focusing on the recruitment and acquisition of new Partners to join Saltus. He is the Chair of the Saltus Investment Committee.
Jamie is also Managing Director of our sister company Lorica Workplace.
Jamie has previously been named one of the Top 30 Wealth Managers Under 30 in the UK. He graduated with a First Class BA Economics degree and Masters in Finance with Distinction, from the University of Leeds.
Jason is part of the Global Fund Selection team within Investment Management and is a Senior Portfolio Manager for Multi Asset mandates. He also sits on the London Investment Committee and Global Asset Allocation Committee. Previously he worked in the Channel Islands Investment Management team assisting in managing bespoke portfolios. Jason was awarded the Credit Suisse Bursary scheme prior to leaving for university and graduated with a BA (Hons) Economics from the University of Reading. Jason also holds the Investment Management Certificate and is studying to become a CFA Charterholder.
Jen Causton is a multi-asset fund manager at Liontrust. In addition to her management and analyst duties – where she focuses on equities – she is also leading the team’s ESG implementation process. Prior to Liontrust, Jen was an analyst and investment manager at Architas, covering a variety of sectors as well as managing a number of multi-asset income funds and a UK multi-manager fund. She started her investment career at Schroders.
Five years experience working in fund selection within the credit and government bond markets. Initially at KPMG advising institutional clients on asset allocation and selection of liquid and illiquid credit funds. More recently at FE, the role has been fully dedicated to managing our shortlist of approved government bond and credit funds across the relevant investment association sectors. CFA certified.
John joined Smith & Williamson in 2017, after joining the industry in 2014. John manages discretionary multi-asset portfolios for private clients in addition to AIM business property relief investments. Alongside his wealth management responsibilities, John is a research analyst for Emerging Markets, UK Smaller companies, and the Energy sector. John is an Affiliate Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and graduated with a First Class Masters in Physics with Particle Physics and Cosmology from the University of Birmingham in 2014.
Joseph is a Senior Investment Analyst at Hargreaves Lansdown. He is responsible for fund selection across Fixed Income, as well as for UK and North American equity funds. As a senior member of the Investment team, Joseph provides oversight and challenge to fund selection across all sectors of the Wealth Shortlist, and votes on all proposals. Joseph is passionate about using his expertise to make investing more accessible and enjoys breaking down fiscal and monetary policy developments to help HL’s clients invest with confidence.
Josh joined Saunderson House in August 2020 as an Investment Analyst and will focus on European, UK & Global equity sectors. In addition he will support coverage in fixed income sectors with a focus on Global High Yield and Government Bond markets. Josh previously worked at Aviva, since 2018, as a fund analyst supporting the multi-asset team and managing Aviva Friends Life’s best buy fund list. Prior to Aviva, Josh worked at Jupiter Asset Management for 5 years covering a number of roles in the finance team and ultimately the Distribution department. He graduated with a BSc in Economics from the University of Southampton in 2012. Josh is a CFA Charterholder.
Laura is Head of Investment Performance Analysis at Brooks Macdonald, having joined as a graduate trainee in 2012. Laura is a member of Brooks Macdonald’s fixed interest research team. She holds an MMath (hons) in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Oxford and is also a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI), holding the CISI Chartered Wealth Manager Qualification and the CISI Investment Advice Diploma (IAD).
Lee leads the team that is responsible for the asset allocation and fund selection for the advisory model portfolios offered by Nationwide to its members, which has assets under management of c£3.9bn. Lee focusses on asset allocation and fixed income fund selection, whilst overseeing the equity fund selection. He joined Nationwide in 2008 and has been leading the fund research team since 2013. He holds a BA Economics degree and the Investment Management Certificate.
Marcus is a senior fund selection specialist at Investec Wealth & Investment, responsible for UK, Asia and Emerging Markets equities fund selection and due diligence, overseeing £5bn of AUM. In addition, he is a member of Investec’s Investment Selection Committee, ESG committee and the Collectives’ Corporate Governance Committee, whilst also contributing to portfolio construction and risk management.
Matthew joined Close Brothers Asset Management in 2007 and heads up the Manager Research team which is responsible for the research, selection and monitoring of fund managers. He is also a portfolio manager for the Close Managed Fund range of multi-asset funds.
Matthew started his career in the actuarial and investment consulting world and worked within the life insurance, pensions and investment teams at Mercer and Aon. He graduated from Nottingham University with a First Class Honours Degree in Mathematics with Engineering.
Mohsin is the Head of Investments at Carrington. He specialises in the research of active and passive investments across all asset classes and geographies, to help guide fund selection, asset allocation and portfolio construction. Mo is also responsible for the ongoing monitoring of the Carrington portfolios and their underlying constituents. Outside of the core portfolios, Mo researches investment trusts, private equity funds and hedge funds as well as alternative products such as VCTs.
Nathan has more than 20 years’ investment management experience. Before joining Marlborough, he spent over ten years as a Senior Investment Manager at fund management company Architas, where he managed the £1 darromerion Architas Multi-Asset Active range. Nathan graduated from the National University of Ireland in 1999 and holds diplomas in mutual funds and financial services from Dublin Business School. He also holds the CFA Society’s Certificate in ESG Investing and Investment Management Certificate. Nathan manages the offshore multi-asset funds and managed portfolio services and is a sector specialist for North American equities and specialist investments.
Nick Stanhope has over 20 years of experience in the investment management industry and specialises in the area of multi asset, multi manager investing. Nick is jointly responsible for a range of volatility risk rated portfolios providing clients with investment solutions utilising active funds, low-cost ETFs, and positive impact funds. Smart Investment Management (SIM) set their own long term asset allocation as well as shorter term tactical allocation combined with fund selection. Nick has also worked for North Investment Partners, Santander, Chiswell Associates and Cazenove within investment and advisory roles. He holds the IIMR Investment Management Certificate and the CII Financial Planning Certificate.
I joined PortfolioMetrix in May 2018 as an Investment Analyst in the UK asset management team. My main responsibility is for asset allocation and fund selection research across all asset classes used in portfolios which includes fixed income, equities, property, and infrastructure. Within our team, I specialise in fund research for our Sustainable World approach, where we look for funds focusing on companies who are generating a positive impact on people and the planet through their products, services, and business operations. I also sit on the global investment committee who oversee asset allocation and fund selection decisions across all PortfolioMetrix approaches which includes portfolios for UK, South African and European based clients. Alongside my main responsibilities, I am also responsible for client portfolio monitoring to ensure clients are invested in line with their mandates, and monitoring and trading of our Multi Asset Funds.
Paris joined Waverton in 2021 as a senior multi asset analyst, specialising in fund selection and model management. Paris has held roles at Sanlam, where she co-managed over £2bn in model portfolios, and at Fidelity. She has a proven track record across a variety of asset classes and a notable specialism in ethical and sustainable investing. Paris was awarded Fund Selector of the Year 2021 by Investment Week, was ranked a Top 30 under 30 Investor by Citywire in 2020 and 2021 and was awarded WeAreTheCity's Rising Star in Investment Management Award 2020. She has a BA Hons degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics, is a CFA Charterholder and holds the CFA ESG Certificate.
Paul is a member of the Multi-Manager People team. He joined the group via Thames River Capital in April 2007. Prior to focusing on investment management, Paul gained experience in portfolio implementation, portfolio pricing and client administration at Credit Suisse Asset Management from 2001 to 2007 and, prior to that, at Rothschild Asset Management. He holds the Investment Administration Qualification (IAQ), the Investment Management Certificate (IMC), the CISI Level 6 Certificate in Private Client Investment Advice & Management and the CISI Diploma. He currently specialises in a number of sectors for fund research including Japan, UK Growth, Equity Income, Property Absolute Return.
Paul’s research coverage spans the fixed income and specialist equity sectors. He is also responsible for a number of consultancy clients, providing fund oversight at quarterly investment committees. Paul is regular contributor to the financial press.
I qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Andersen & Co in Manchester. I worked in various asset management roles at Citigroup over the next 14 years. I joined Man GLG as an equity analyst and remained there for 2 years before moving to Seven Investment Management to run their AAP funds. I now help with 7IM’s active management research. I was on the exam board of the Institute of Investment Management and Research in the distant past.
Pippa joined Brooks Macdonald in 2020 and manages bespoke discretionary portfolios on behalf of a range of clients. Prior to joining Brooks Macdonald, Pippa worked at Charles Stanley for six years. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) holder. Pippa heads up the Far East & emerging markets research team and also sits on our responsible investment research team.
Richard works as an analyst on the Fund Research desk at EFGAM. He is responsible for selecting long-only funds for EFGAM’s clients across equities, fixed income and multi-asset categories.
Ryan started his career in 1999 working for an independent financial adviser, progressing to become Head of Portfolio Management at an award-winning advisory firm. Ryan then joined a global asset management firm as a Fund Manager, where he oversaw more than £10bn of multi-asset portfolios and also sat on the investment and global asset allocation committees. After seven years, Ryan joined a small multi-asset boutique managing portfolios for clients all around the world, before joining AJ Bell in 2016 to help establish our investment capability. As Head of Investment Research, Ryan now oversees all investment research for AJ Bell. Ryan is a member of the CFA UK Society, is frequently asked for his views in the press and on panel debates while also being recognised as one of the top fund researchers in the UK.
Samina joined Barclays in 2016 from Cavendish Ware where she worked as an investment research analyst. She is now responsible for covering property, global & US equity funds. Samina has a BSc in Mathematics with Economics and an MSc in International Banking and Finance. She holds the IMC and is an Associate (ACSI) member of the CISI.
Scott is a member of the 10-strong Multi-Manager team and has over 20 years’ experience in researching funds. Prior to joining the group in July 2014, he was a senior investment manager at Aberdeen Asset Management, where he was responsible for a number of retail and institutional multi-manager portfolios. Prior to that he was a member of the Credit Suisse Asset Management multi-manager team having previously been hired by Rob and Gary when they were at Credit Suisse Asset Management. Scott, together with Paul Green, manages the daily performance analysis of funds in addition to his broader fund selection role. Scott leads the sector research teams for the US, Asia and Emerging Markets, and is also a member of the Specialist Investments team. Scott is a partner of the BMO AM Multi-Manager LLP. He holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) and a BA (Hons) in Economics from Nottingham Trent University.
Shane joined the team at its inception in 2012 and is now Chief Investment Officer for YOU. He is responsible for communicating our investment strategy to all stakeholders, as well as overall responsibility for the investment team. Having joined Friends Provident in 1990, Shane held various roles within the industry before focusing purely on investments. In 2004, Shane co-founded Equip Solutions, which was the genesis of YOU and he has been managing our flagship active models since then. Shane is Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment, and a member of the CFA UK Society.
Stuart has been working in the investment industry for over 20 years, initially at Baring Asset Management, before moving to Schroders in 2004. At Schroders he worked within the Charities and Private Client business before moving internally to join the Investment Team, and later becoming the Head of Manager Selection for Cazenove Capital. Cazenove Capital is one of the wealth management businesses of Schroders. The wealth management arm of Schroders operates with assets under management of £78.3 billion as at 30 September 2021.
Tom works within the Investment team, covering fixed income and bond research. He has a focus on more alternative and complex strategies, designed to mitigate risk whilst improving return. Alongside this, he manages the responsible investment philosophy and the integration of ‘ESG’ criteria within portfolios. Tom joined Saltus from Harpsden Wealth Management and has been part of our team for over four years. Prior to this, he obtained a BSc in Natural Sciences (Mathematics and Economics) from Durham University. He is working towards achieving the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation. Outside of spreadsheets, Tom loves music of all forms, being a keen multi-instrumentalist and songwriter. Asides from this, he enjoys carpentry and getting into a good book.
Veronique Morel is a Fellow of the CISI institute and a Chartered Wealth Manager and branch principal at Raymond James. Previously, she was a vice president and European team leader at Merrill Lynch. She has over 20 years’ experience in the financial industry. Veronique was finalist wealth manager of the year 2020 and nominated as Professional Adviser award 2021. She is on the judging panel for Sustainable and ESG investments awards as well as a judge for Women in investment award for investment week after being shortlisted for Wealth Manager of the year 2020. She is also a finalist for Professional Adviser for Investment manager of the year – UK and London and Women of the year – ESG. Veronique has been appointed to the investment committee of the RCDOW and Holy Apostles church as the first woman to manage the charities assets. She manages assets for international clients in the UK and US platforms.
