TRACE by isla

Investment Week uses TRACE to measure our carbon footprint at events, enabling us to make informed decisions that reduce emissions and support sustainability. TRACE helps assess and minimise carbon impact at live, hybrid, and digital events. Tracking emissions is key to fighting climate change and meeting sustainability standards, while also showcasing our commitment to environmental responsibility. TRACE, developed by Isla, is the leading platform for measuring carbon at events, driving the sector toward a net-zero future

Marriott Grosvenor House

At JW Marriott Grosvenor House London, sustainability is central to their operations. They actively reduce carbon emissions, optimize energy use, and collaborate with guests to minimize environmental impact across stays, dining, and events. They hold Green Key accreditation and a Silver ENERGY STAR rating.

Their LED lighting saves 44,384 kWh annually, and smart metering via MESH helps track and optimize energy use. They offer five electric vehicle charging points and use heating/cooling recovery systems to reduce consumption.

They reduce water waste through dual flush toilets, water-saving sensors, and low-flow fixtures. An on-site filtration system provides bottled water, and their optional bedding replacement program conserves water in laundry operations.

Their restaurants use AI-powered food waste tracking (WINNOW) to minimize waste. Cooking oil is recycled into biofuel, and they have adopted paperless billing, digital menus, and reusable service items. Recycling bins are available in guest and meeting areas. They prioritize responsibly sourced meat and seafood and locally sourced produce for event menus.

75% of their daily-use cleaning products carry eco-labels, supporting environmentally friendly operations.

Marriott International is committed to a net-zero future by 2050, aligning with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Their Serve 360 platform drives sustainability and social impact worldwide.
